Children, aged 9 -15, in schools all over the country have come up with their own ideas about the issues they care about and have developed their topics into fully-produced audio programmes. Here are more details about these schools: |

Hill Primary Seven pupils from the Hill Primary School in Thurnscoe - a small town in South Yorkshire between Doncaster and Barnsley - took part. |

Waverley School Waverley High School lies in the Small Heath area of Birmingham. This area has a large mix of cultures; a high percentage of the children come from different ethnic groups. A group of Year 9 students from Waverley contributed to the project. |

|
Earlham Primary School We worked with eight pupils from Year 5 at Earlham Primary School in Forest Gate near Stratford in East London, an ethnically diverse area, and the school reflects this. |

|
Manor School Manor School is in Didcot, a small town south of Oxford. Didcot is a major location for energy research. Manor School is a primary school; a group of eight from Year 5 made audio programmes with us. |

Fairfield High School Fairfield High is a secondary school in Bristol, Avon. This inner-city school is in the Montpelier area, right next to St Paul's. Eight Year 8 students from this school worked on Project V. |

La Sainte Union School La Sainte Union is a Catholic voluntary aided comprehensive school for girls in Highgate, North-West London. It takes pupils from a wide geographical area. At 16-19, the school is a partner in the local sixth form consortium and offers places to a limited number of boys. |

Bootle High School Bootle High School is in Netherton, which is in the Borough of Sefton, next to Liverpool, in Merseyside. This is an inner city area inhabited by some quite poor people. In spite of this, OFSTED says that the school provides a good education, and attainment by age 16 is high compared with schools in similar situations. |

Birkbeck School and Community Arts College This college is in the small town of North Somercotes, between Louth and the coast in East Lincolnshire. Originally, it was the John Birkbeck High School, opened by J F Birkbeck on 20th October, 1964. The school has 300 pupils and has been named one of the best in Lincolnshire. In September 2003, the school was granted Arts College status, which led to its present - rather longer - name. Student intake is rising every year. |

Elliott School Elliott School is a large mixed secondary School in South West London ; half its students are from ethnic minorities. It is a specialist language college. 30 pupils from Year 7 and Year 9 took part in this project. |

Granard Primary School Granard Primary School is just a few minutes walk from Elliott School, and many of the Granard children continue with their secondary education at Elliott. It is ethnically very diverse. 12 children from Year 5 and 6 participated in this project. |

Hotham Primary School 12 children from Hotham Primary School produced programmes together with pupils from Elliott. The school is another feeder school for Elliott, located in the residential area of Putney in South West London. |
|
|
Honeywell Junior School Honeywell Junior School is situated between Clapham and Wandsworth Commons in SW London. It has less deprivation than other schools in the area. 8 pupils from Year 5 worked with children at Elliott School. |

Tom Hood Community Science College Tom Hood School is a mixed 11-16 comprehensive school at the southern end of the London Borough of Waltham Forest. |
